SolarEdge ONE EV Charger

Overview

The Australian SolarEdge ONE EV Charger SE-EVN22SE0-01 supports single- or three-phase operation, with up to 7.4 kW on single-phase or 22 kW on suitable three-phase installations. The Australian standard model uses a Type 2 socket and the charging cable is not included. It supports OCPP 1.6J, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth and RFID and is rated IP54/IK08. When integrated with compatible SolarEdge inverter and site energy data, the charger supports excess-PV charging, load balancing, smart scheduling and automatic phase switching. The current ONE replaced the older SolarEdge Home EV Charger in Australia.

Best for

  • Homes using compatible SolarEdge inverter and energy-management equipment
  • Single- or three-phase installations choosing the matching configuration
  • Solar households wanting coordinated excess-PV charging
  • Installations requiring OCPP 1.6J

Not ideal for

  • — Buyers expecting a charging cable to be included with the standard Australian socket model
  • — Homes without compatible SolarEdge site integration if coordinated PV, battery or load-management functions are required
  • — Buyers who specifically need the older SolarEdge Home EV Charger's fixed 7.6 m cable configuration

Using this charger at home in Australia

This charger supports higher AC charging speeds where both your home's electrical supply and your EV's onboard AC charger allow. Confirm your home's phase support with a licensed electrician, and check your EV's maximum AC charging capability.

Where the charger and required monitoring equipment support solar-aware charging, the system can adjust EV charging in response to available solar generation. The exact behaviour depends on the charger, metering or sensors, inverter setup and configuration.

Where supported and correctly configured, load management can reduce EV charging power when other household loads increase, helping keep total demand within the configured site limit.

OCPP support allows the charger to communicate with compatible OCPP charging-management platforms. OCPP support by itself does not guarantee integration with a home battery, solar inverter, electricity tariff or every third-party platform.

The manufacturer lists an IP54 enclosure rating for this charger. The final mounting location should follow the manufacturer's installation requirements and be confirmed by the installer.

A dedicated home EV charger should be installed by a licensed electrician. The installer should confirm the circuit design, switchboard capacity, protection requirements and any applicable local electricity-network requirements.
