Zeekr's Australian electric range includes models with different onboard AC charging limits, so the exact vehicle and variant matter when choosing a home charger.

Current Australian specifications show the Zeekr X RWD supports up to 11 kW AC, while the Zeekr X AWD and Zeekr 7X support up to 22 kW AC. Reaching 22 kW at home requires a suitable three-phase electrical supply as well as a vehicle that can accept that rate. Other Zeekr models should be checked against their specific Australian charging specification.

Your charger choice should also account for the home's available electrical capacity, rooftop solar, daily driving and whether you need features such as load management or scheduled charging. A wallbox with a higher rating than the vehicle can accept will not make the vehicle charge faster.

Zeekr EV charging FAQs

Do I need a special charging cable for my Zeekr at home?

That depends on the charger you install. A tethered wallbox has its charging cable attached, while a socketed wallbox requires a separate cable that matches the vehicle and charger. Confirm the charging connection for your exact Zeekr model before purchasing equipment.

How fast can I charge a Zeekr at home?

It depends on the model and your home's electrical supply. The current Australian Zeekr X RWD supports up to 11 kW AC, while the X AWD supports up to 22 kW AC. The Zeekr 7X also supports up to 22 kW AC. Actual charging power is limited by the vehicle, wallbox, electrical supply and any site load-management settings.

Do I need a 22 kW charger for a Zeekr?

Only if your exact Zeekr can accept 22 kW AC and the property has a suitable three-phase supply. For example, the current Zeekr X RWD is limited to 11 kW AC, so a 22 kW wallbox would not make that vehicle charge above its onboard AC limit.

Can I charge a Zeekr from a single-phase home supply?

Yes. A Zeekr that supports higher three-phase AC charging can still charge from a suitable single-phase home installation, but at a lower rate. Your electrician should assess the available supply capacity and set the charger appropriately.

Can I charge my Zeekr from a regular power point?

Yes, where the vehicle is used with suitable manufacturer-approved or compliant portable charging equipment and the outlet is appropriate for EV charging. A standard Australian power point provides much less charging power than a dedicated wallbox, typically up to about 2.4 kW. Do not use extension leads or power boards for EV charging, and ask a licensed electrician to check the electrical setup if you are unsure.
